I was living in NYC and feeling overwhelmed. I worked a couple of jobs, I broke up with my boyfriend, my living situation was reckless and unhealthy, and I started working on this song. I had a bit of a melody and most of the words. I wasn't sure what it was all about. That's kind of how it goes with songs, they come out of you and sometimes it takes a while before you know what they mean. I put down a rough recording of it and 3 days later the terror attack on the WTC happened. The turn the song took I'm sure has a lot to do with those days after the attack. Of course I don't know what shape that song would have taken had it not happened. To me, this song is about the fiery crash in me and how it makes me who I am. It's also about the fiery crash of the towers and how that also makes me who I am.

Lyrics
You, look if you want to - i've got nothing here to hide from you
inside you is the whole world though you may not understand do you.
And if there was a fiery crash
helplessly watching it all burn
it will all be gone in a flash
nothing survives but these words
these words.
See all that you make me and all the wreckage you will find in me
inside me is a future and if it ever does arrive, we’ll see
Take what you have to whatever money just can’t buy for you
Outside there is a whole world I can feel it when we speak it’s true
And if there was a fiery crash
helplessly watching it all burn
it will all be gone in a flash
nothing survives but these words
these words.
