Released in November 2021, DIG is a collection of songs about love—but not necessarily love as we like to imagine it.

Across the album, Lydia Brownfield digs beneath romance and permanence into the messier places where love becomes entangled with longing, obsession, dependence, desire, disillusionment, and the need to understand who we are outside of another person. Sometimes love saves us. Sometimes it keeps us broken. Sometimes we push it away to save ourselves. And sometimes we desperately want to believe in forever even when experience tells us otherwise.

Darkly funny in places, vulnerable and defiant in others, DIG asks what we actually mean when we call something love—and what we uncover when we dig deep enough to find out.
